Pantanal Bonito Tour
The best wildlife spotting in south america.
As the world’s largest wetlands area, the Pantanal, though less well- known than the Amazon, is one of South America’s premier wildlife spotting locations.
What to do in Bonito
Rio Baía Bonita (Natural Aquarium) – Enjoy the floating promenade, made for 800 meters, where the Aquarium operates. Live the feeling of being side by side with colorful fish in the middle of a rich underwater flora. The area also offers hiking and animal watching trails, a swimming pool for diving training, a zip line, a restaurant and a bar.
Gruta do Lago Azul – Protected as a natural monument by the Iphan, it is considered the postcard of Bonito. To admire this magnificent landscape of nature you have to descend about 300 steps. The spectacle is indescribable: limestone rocks, stalactites and a sapphire blue lake where the rays of the sun are reflected.
Rio Sucuri – About 2 km of crystal clear waters, with waterfalls and swimming pools. Floating points are the main attraction. Surfing while watching fish and aquatic plants is also a great walk.
Abismo Anhumas – A hole in the ground is the gateway to the 72-meter abyss that shelters a lake of transparent water. Abseiling is the only way to enter the cave. Diving in these waters is a “must”; there is also the possibility of taking a walk through the vault of the cave using rope bridges and cables.
Estância Mimosa – The hike on the trail inside the complex takes about 3 hours. Ten waterfalls of crystal clear water offer the possibility of refreshing and invigorating baths. Along the road, you can observe animals, explore caves and enjoy a typical farm lunch.
